A mint Golden Grade Mother’s Cross (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter) with original case of issue by Werner Redd, Saarlautern; in gilded bronze and blue, black, and white enamels; with its original (shortened) ribbon and a mint and unused full-length ribbon still in its original paper wrapper; measuring 42.91 mm x 35.71 mm; weighing 10.5 grams; mint condition. With its original case of issue with the exterior constructed of dark blue faux leather; with the lid embossed with an outline of a Mother’s Cross; inside lined with an off-white fabric embossed with the maker’s name “Werner Redd, Saarlautern”; interior fabric hinge has started to come apart, but exterior metal hinge is fully functional; functional push button; measuring 110 mm x 50 mm; better than very fine condition with slightly worn edges.
