Germany. A Cross of Honour of the German Mother, Bronze Grade, with its Miniature

(Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter, 1. Grade). A Latin cross constructed of bronze and red and white enamels; with sun rays emanating between the arms from the centre applique; the obverse with a circular applique bearing a static black enameled swastika (Hakenkreuz) within a ring inscribed “Der Deutschen Mutter” (The German Mother), with all four arms of the cross edged in white enamels with solid blue panels; the reverse dated with the date of implementation “10 Dezember 1938”, bearing the facsimile of the Führer and Reichs-Chancellor; suspended from a period original ribbon; measuring 35.48 mm (w) x 42.71 mm (h); weighing 15.2 grams. Accompanied by its miniature; visually the same, but suspended on a small ladies ribbon with a horizontal pinback; in overall extremely fine condition.
