Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Honour Crosses of the German Mother, All Grades
(Ehrenkreuze der Deutschen Mutter). A mixed lot of three Honour Crosses of the German Mother in Bronze, Silver, and Gold Grades, all constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels and applicable finishes, on loops for suspension from period original ribbons, consisting of Latin Cross with arms joined through the quadrants by stylized sun rays, the obverse of each with blue and white enameled arms, with central white enameled discs bearing black swastikas, circumscribed by raised inscriptions of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse of each bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and signatures of the Führer, all unmarked and measuring 36 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), with flecking of enamels and minor loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
