Germany, HJ A 1940 Pin of the German Youth Champion, Gold Grade, by B.H. Mayer

(Nadel des Deutschen Jugendmeisters). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a central red and white enameled HJ insignia overlaid by a black mobile swastika, within a gilt laurel wreath bearing a central plaque with a raised date of “1940”, the reverse with a maker’s mark of “B.H. MAYER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 18 mm (w) x 16 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
