Germany, HJ. A Mixed Lot of Proficiency Badges
(Leistungsabzeichen). A mixed lot of three proficiency badges, including a HJ Silver Grade Proficiency Badge, constructed of a silvered bronze alloy, vertical pinback, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune, overlaid by a circular ring bearing an inscription of “FÜR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H.J.” (“FOR MERIT IN THE H.J.”), around mobile swastika, the reverse stamped with a number of “293577” and a bearing a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/35” for Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida, measuring 30 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), with evidence of pinback replacement, in very fine condition; a miniature Silver Grade Proficiency Badge, of identical construction and appearance, the reverse with a RZM logo and maker code “M1/63” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 14 mm (w) x 23 mm (h), in very fine condition, and; a Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) Proficiency Badge, constructed of a silvered bronze alloy, vertical pinback, the reverse stamped with a number of “193493” and bearing a RZM logo with a maker code of “M1/35” for Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida, measuring 34 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), with loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
