Germany, HJ. A Pair of Badges
A circular pin constructed of die stamped brass, the obverse bears a sunrise with a swastika in the centre, with two downwards facing crossed daggers below, blades inscribed with “GÖRLITZ OBERLAUSITZ” above the daggers is the inscription “BANNAUFMARSH 24.9.33.” and below the daggers is the number “19”, the reverse bears a horizontal soldered pinback, measuring 36.19 mm; A shield shaped pin constructed of die stamped magnetic metal, the centre bears a swastika encompassed by a border inscribed with “FÜR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H.J.” (FOR SERVICES IN THE HJ), superimposed on an upwards directed arrow, bordered with “NORDMARK LAGER GEBIET DAS JAHR DER ERTÜCHTIGUNG” (NORDMARK CAMP AREA 6 THE YEAR OF PHYSICAL FITNESS), the reverse bears a vertical pinback attached with a polymer adhesive, measuring 33.87 mm (w) x 44.27 mm (h); both very fine.
