Germany, TeNo. A Technical Emergency Help Service Honour Badge, by Wilhelm Fühner
(Technische Nothilfe Ehrenzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a multi-coloured enameled TeNo insignia within a cogwheel, in turn overlaying a ribbed gilt diamond, flanked by oak leaves and above a ribbon bearing a date of “1921”, topped by a German national eagle, the reverse with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, engraved with issue number “2984”, the pinback maker marked “WILHELM FÜHNER, PFORZHIEM”, measuring 35.98 mm (w) x 49.96 mm (h), weighing 14.2 grams, with scratching and chipping evident to the enamels, in overall better than very fine codnition.
