Germany, TeNo. A 1922 Technical Emergency Help Honour Badge, with Case, by Wilhelm Fühner

(Ehrenzeichen der Technischen Nothilfe 1922 mit Etui). Instituted 2 April 1935. (1935-1936). Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a semi-circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a date of “1922”, overlaid by a ribbed diamond, in turn bearing a cogwheel overlaid by an enameled Technisches Nothilfe (Technical Emergency Help/TeNo) insignia, topped by a German national eagle, the reverse with an elongated block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, stamped with an issue number of “1407”, the pinback maker marked “WILHELM DEUMER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 35.98 mm (w) x 49.40 mm (h), weighing 14.3 grams, with some flecking and a small crack visible to the enamels near the top of the swastika’s six o’clock arm, in near extremely fine condition, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon-blended lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted beige velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) x 70 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), with minor material fatigue evident to the exterior liner, in near extremely fine condition.
