Germany, TeNo. A Technical Emergency Help (TeNo) Honour Badge by Karl Hensler

Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a Technical Emergency Help- (TeNo) style German national eagle perched atop a ribbed diamond, flanked by oak leaf branches and above a banner bearing a date of “1922”, overlaid by a gilded bronze cog wheel bearing a black enameled mobile swastika, in turn bearing a TeNo insignia, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, the pinback maker marked “KARL HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, the reverse with a member number of “2451”, measuring 36.18 mm (w) x 49.77 mm (h), weighing 19.7 grams, some loss of gilding evident, otherwise in extremely fine condition.
