Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle and initials “ADAC” for Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (General German Automobile Club), the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a round hinge with a functional locking mechanism, unmarked, measuring 49.46 mm (w) x 54.10 mm (h), weighing 18.3 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux maroon leather exterior, with a padded white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted maroon velvet medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, the lid liner marked with an inscription of “ALLGEMEINER DEUTSCHER AUTOMOBIL-CLUB E.V., SITZ: MÜNCHEN”, the exterior with a maker’s mark of “E. FERD. WIEDMANN, METALLWARENFABRIK, FRANKFURT-A.M. SÜD”, measuring 68 mm (w) x 90 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
