Constructed of magnetic metal with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central white enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) insignia, surrounded by gilded and enameled regional coats of arms, in turn set within a circular green enameled ring bearing an inscription of “GELÄNDEWETTBEWERB IM ERZBIRGE 3. 5. 1936 / MOTORBRIGADE SACHSEN” (“CROSS-COUNTRY COMPETITION IN THE ORE MOUNTAINS 3. 5. 1936 / MOTOR BRIGADE SAXONY”), the reverse with two integral threaded lugs retaining nuts and washers, unmarked, measuring 100 mm in diameter, minor flecking and scratching is evident throughout the enamel and the metal underlay demonstrates age-appropriate oxidation, in very fine condition.
