Germany, DRK. A German Red Cross (DRK) Active Membership Badge, by Alfred Stübbe
(Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a central white enameled disc bearing a DRK-style German national eagle clutching a red Geneva Cross, within a black enameled ring bearing a silvered inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ SCHWESTERNSCHAFT” (“GERMAN RED CROSS SISTERHOOD”), the reverse maker marked “A. STUBBE, BERLIN”, with an additional inscription of “KARLSRUHE 897”, measuring 32 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
