What's a max bid?

Germany, Third Reich. A Social Welfare Decoration, I Class, by Gebrüder Godet & Co.

(Ehrenzeichen für deutsche Volkspflege I. Klasse). Instituted 1 May 1939. (1939-1944 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse with a central applique in the form of a black enameled German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the eagle with detailed gilt feathering, the twelve o’clock arm bearing an integral loop connecting to a ribbed suspension ring with dual oak leaves, accompanied by its period original neck ribbon with functional snap button closure, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by the firm of Gebrüder Godet & Co., Berlin, measuring 52.50 mm (w) x 57.28 mm (h), weighing 40.1 grams, some flecking of enamels and loss of gilt finish evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
