Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a black-enameled German national eagle clutching a gilded and blackened wreathed mobile swastika, with featuring highlighted in gilt, the reverse plain, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop connecting to a ribbed suspension ring with dual oak leaves, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by the Berlin-based firm of Godet, measuring 52.58 mm (w) x 57.32 mm (h), weighing 40.4 grams, with some flecking of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
