A First War German Imperial Iron Cross 1914 Commemorative Plate
White porcelain, glazed, the central well illustrating an Iron Cross 1914 in black suspended from a six-sided ribbon, framed by a open-ended wreath of oak leaves and acorns in green and brown, trimmed in red and black rules along the outer edge of the well, six shields bearing the Prussian eagle in gold-coloured paint ringing the plate just above the rules on the lip, the rim trimmed in speckled gold-coloured paint, without maker marks on the base, 170 mm in diameter, one tiny chip on the base, free of crazing, extremely fine.
