White metal, weighing 31.5 grams, obverse illustrating the three-legged coat-of-arms of the Isle of Man, above a fenced prisoner of war camp with multiple huts, buildings on a hillside and a sunrise to the left in the distance, the entire scene ringed in barbed wire, reverse inscribed "WELTKREIG 1914-1916 / ERINNERUNG AN DIE KREIGSZEIT / KNOCKALOE ISLE OF MAN" inside a wreath of olive leaves, 45 mm, integral slot for suspension, light contact, near extremely fine. In a fitted wooden case, with sliding entry door, medal fits tight to the recessed medal bed, case also near extremely fine.
