(Dornier Do X Gedenkmünze in Silber). Constructed of silver, the obverse featuring a raised and leftward-facing profile of Claude Dornier, circumscribed by name and title with a date of “1929”, the reverse bearing a raised depiction of the Dornier Do X in mid-flight over the ocean, circumscribed by an inscription of “TRIUMPH DEUTSCHER TECHNIK” (“TRIUMPH OF GERMAN ENGINEERING”), above an inscription of “START DES DO Z MIT 169 MANN”, the edge maker marked “BAYER. HAUPTMÜNZAMT” for the Bavarian Mint and “FEINSILBER” indicating 999 silver content, the obverse designer marked “K. GOETZ” for the firm of Karl Goetz, measuring 36.20 mm in diameter, weighing 19.8 grams, in extremely fine condition.
