Germany, Weimar Republic. A 1931 Bad Blankenburg Harvest Medal with Case
(Deutsche Ernte Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse with a Thuringian lion rampant circumscribed by an inscription of “RUDOLSTADT IN THÜRINGEN”, the reverse with a gilt inscription of “GROßSCHAU DEUTSCHE ERNTE, BAD BLANKENBURG, 10/-19/0 KTBR. 1931”, unmarked, measuring 50 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux purple leather exterior, the interior with a padded white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed blue velvet medal bed, opening with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 82 mm (w) x 82 mm (l) x 23 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
