(Kolonialabzeichen). Instituted 18 April 1922 by the Ministry for Reconstruction. (1922-1939 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised elephant in mid-stride, set within a circular ring bearing an inscription of “SÜDSEE - AFRIKA - KIAUTSCHOU”, joined together at the bottom by an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a vertical pinback and design number “33992”, measuring 33.82 mm (w) x 38.90 mm (h), weighing 19.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
