Germany, Weimar Republic. An Honour Cross of the Baltic Landeswehr in Silver
(Ehrenkreuz der Baltischen Landeswehr). Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with white enameled arms trimmed along the outer edges with blue enamel, overlaid by a central silver shield bearing a black Teutonic Cross, in turn overlaying a downward-pointing swords, the reverse retaining an original matching backplate and washer, the six o’clock arm stamped with a silver content number of “800”, the washer bearing the engraved name of a Poznań resident, measuring 37.23 mm (w) x 37.06 mm (h), weighing 20.2 grams overall, with minor flecking and tarnishing evident to the enamels and silver, respectively, a scarce decoration in extremely fine condition.
