Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of “1930”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, engraved with an identification number of “VII B.D. 39” and a date of “29. I. 1930”, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30.30 mm in diameter, weighing 12.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
