Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A Rare 1920 Membership Badge, Oversized Version, by Stahlhof Magdeburg
(Der Stahlhelm Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of “1920”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, engraved with an identification number of “VI NO. 327” and a date of “12. 7. 1920.”, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 34.82 mm in diameter, weighing 16.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
