Germany, Weimar Republic. A 1921 Bremen City Defenders Commemorative Table Medal
(Bremen Stadtwehr Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with two raised figures wearing Stahlhelms and clutching swords, holding a shield over a Bremen city key and tower, circumscribed by an inscription of “STADTWEHR” and dates “1919-1921”, the reverse with a Bremen coat of arms, circumscribed by an inscription of “NORD-OST-SÜD-WEST-BREMEN-BEST”, unmarked, measuring 74 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
