(Kolonialabzeichen). Instituted 18 April 1922. (1922-1939 issue). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised elephant in mid-stride, set within a circular ring bearing an inscription of “SÜDSEE - AFRIKA -KIAUTSCHOU”, joined together at the bottom by an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a vertical pinback and design number “33992”, measuring 33.79 mm (w) x 39.00 mm (h), weighing 10.6 grams, a scarce aluminum version in extremely fine condition.
