Germany, Weimar Republic. A Freikorps Regiment Reinhard Volunteer’s Sleeve Insignia
(Ärmelabzeichen des Freiwilligen Regiment Reinhard). Instituted November 1918 by General Wilhelm Reinhard. (1918-1919 issue). Constructed of blackened and gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the top and bottom by ribbon, with a central raised letter “R” above a date of “1919”, perforated with four sets of dual holes for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 58 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
