(Schlesischer Adler I. Klasse). Constructed of a zink alloy, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle, clutching a banner in its talons bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”) and overlaid by a silvered Brustmond, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 31.35 mm (w) x 41.10 mm (h), weighing 17.9 grams, with loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
