(Schlesischer Adler I. Klasse). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a vaulted Silesian-style German national eagle with feathering executed in careful detail, clutching a banner in its talons bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), overlaid across its chest by a raised Brustmond, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the obverse features in place, with a crimped hinge and narrow banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 32.07 mm (w) x 43.69 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish to high-contact points, in near extremely fine condition.
