Germany, Weimar Republic. A Sports Wreath of the Association of the National Motoring and Aeronautic Movement
(Sportkranz der Ring der Nationalen Kraftfahrt und Luftfahrtbewegung). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, overlaid by diagonal stylized wings bearing a German national eagle with initials “R. K. L.”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and non-functional vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 45.94 mm (w) x 69.75 mm (h), weighing 13.1 grams, the silver finish has been lost, the catch is missing, and both the wreath and pinback have bent, a rare decoration in fair condition.
