Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with ball finials, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a raised Bavarian lion rampant on top of a checkered Bavarian flag motif, within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “BAYERISCHER KRIEGERBUND - 20 JAHRE IN TREUE FEST” (“BAVARIAN VETERANS ASSOCIATION - 20 YEARS IN FAITHFUL SERVICE”), the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, with two visible rivets holding the obverse applique in place, maker marked “DESCHLER, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 50 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
