Two-piece construction, consisting of silver Stahlhelm logo mounted onto a silver and black enameled round base, the reverse with a screw-back assembly - originally consisting of two thin threaded studs with a space-bar and two nuts, officially engraved “VI. No.-44.”, “A”, “6.1.1919”, and marked “STH” and “Ges. Gesch.” on the reverse, measuring 34.82 mm in diameter, weighing 14.1 grams, the reverse screw-back assembly only partially intact, with contact marks on the obverse, in overall good condition.
