Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A 1931 Membership Badge, Owner-Attributed, by Der Stahlhof Magdeburg
(Der Stahlhelm Diensteintrittsabzeichen 1931). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc, overlaid by a raised Stahlhelm insignia, situated above silvered oak leaves and a date of “1931”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, etched with a recipient’s name of “KAM. NEIDEL”, a unit code of “1036”, and a service entry date of “6. 5. 1931”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30.64 mm in diameter, weighing 12.6 grams, with some loss of silver finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
