Germany, Weimar Republic. A 1930 Der Stahlhelm Christmas Stein
(Der Stahlhelm Bierkrug). An extremely well-preserved 1930 Der Stahlhelm commemorative Christmas stein, constructed of glazed white porcelain. It features a curved protruding handle affording a secure grip, flanked on one side by an etched measurement of “1L” for one litre, above an “ASTA” mark. The side features detailed hand-painted imagery, consisting of a shield bearing an Iron Cross, topped by a Stahlhelm, and set above laurel and oak leaf branches. The images are circumscribed by inscriptions of “DER STAHLHELM” and “WEIHNACHTEN 1930” (“CHRISTMAS 1930”). The stein measures 120 mm (w) x 175 mm (h). Presenting free of evident cracks or chips, it is in an extremely fine condition.
