A Parade Mounted Commemorative Austrian Anschluss & Sudetenland Medal Bar
A fine second war German medal bar grouping of a Commemorative Austrian Anschluss medal and a Commemorative Sudetenland medal; both medals similar in design - the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm (symbolic of the liberation of the Sudeten German from Czechoslovak oppression), with the German eagle directly below; the reverse of the Anschluss medal dated “March 13, 1938” and the Sudetenland medal dated “October 1, 1938: measuring 32.28 mm x 32.10 mm; parade mounted to a German style ribbon bar; metal core; horizontal pinback; better than very fine condition.
