A fine second war German medal bar grouping, consisting of a War Merit Cross Second Class without Swords, a Commemorative Sudetenland medal, and a RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst/State Labour Service) 12-Year Long Service medal; the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter; maltese cross in bronzed tombak; on loop for suspension (unmarked); with a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939: in raised numbering; measuring 48.93 mm x 48.13 mm; the “Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. October 1938”; circular bronzed medal; on loop for suspension; the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm (symbolic of the liberation of the Sudeten German from Czechoslovak oppression), with the German eagle directly below; the reverse with the date “1. Oktober 1938” centrally and circumscribed “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (One People, One Country, One Leader); measuring 31.73 mm in diameter; the RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst/State Labour Service) 12-Year Long Service medal; oval silvered bronze; the obverse with RAD logo in the centre of the award, consisting of a shovel with a mobile swastika superimposed on the spade and two wheat stalks at the base standing in a V formation, all within a border of oak leaves; the reverse inscribed “Für treue Dienste im Reichsarbeitsdienst” (For service in the state labour service) within a border of oak leaves; on a loop for suspension; measuring 41.09 mm x 33.60 mm; parade mounted to a German style ribbon bar; zink core; field gray wool backer; horizontal pinback; accompanied by its matching ribbon bar; in better than extremely fine condition.
