Germany, Luftwaffe. A Medal Bar to a Condor Legion Recipient
(Bandschnalle). A medal bar to a Condor Legion recipient with three decorations, including a Spanish Cross of Military Merit, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Geneva Cross with red enameled arms, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a Spanish coat of arms, the reverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing gilt initials “MM”, unmarked, measuring 34.78 mm (w) x 48.48 mm (h), with evidence of re-attachment of reverse medallion, in overall very fine condition; a Spanish Medal for the Campaign of 1936-1936, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon in a German-style mount with a horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a gilded circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, with a central raised depiction of a lion grappling with a dragon, with the latter bearing a hammer and sickle, topped by a radiant sun and a date of “17 JULIO 1936”, the reverse bearing a central gilt Spanish national eagle clutching a coat of arms above a Falange insignia, circumscribed by an abbreviated inscription of “GENESSMO FRANCO, VICTOR, UNA GRANDE LIBRE IMPERIAL ML.HSP.GLOR.", unmarked, measuring 36.93 mm in diameter, in overall extremely fine condition; a Wehrmacht 4-Year Long Service Medal with Luftwaffe Device, constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse with a central raised number “4” within an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 30.13 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; all affixed to a Spanish-made medal bar, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, and measuring 106 mm in length.
