What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A medal bar featuring three decorations, including a War Merit Cross, II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked measuring 48.74 mm (w) x 49.29 mm (h); an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, with crossed swords through the centerpiece, the reverse maker marked “R.V. PFORZHEIM”, measuring 38.04 mm (w) x 41.65 mm (h), in very fine condition, and; a Civil Service 25 Year Faithful Service Cross, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central black enameled swastika, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), with an oak leaf wreath through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 40.86 mm (w) x 46.36 mm (h), in better than very fine condition; joined together with a thin magnetic metal plate through the ribbon, measuring 90 mm in length.
