Germany, Third Reich. A Second War German Medal Bar
(Bandschnalle). A Third Reich period medal bar featuring three medals including a (Dienstauszeichnung IV. Klasse für 4 Dienstjahre), a circular silvered metal (magnetic) medal, the obverse with the German eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces), the reverse with the raised number 4 centrally within an oak wreath border, measuring 30.27 mm in diameter, on ribbon with silvered eagle, and in good condition. A Commemorative Anschluss medal, in silvered bronze, the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm, with the German eagle directly below, the reverse with the date 13 MÄRZ 1938 centrally and circumscribed Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer (One People, One Country, One Leader), measuring 32.23 mm in diameter, and in near very fine condition. A Sudetenland Medal (Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938), the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm (symbolic of the liberation of the Sudeten Germans from Czechoslovak oppression), with the German eagle directly below, the reverse with the date 1. Oktober 1938 centrally and circumscribed EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER (One People, One Empire, One Leader), unmarked, measuring 31.99 mm in diameter, and in extremely fine condition. All affixed to appropriate ribbons on a 98 mm long metal bar, with a black backer, with horizontal pinback.
