Germany, Wehrmacht. A Third Reich Period Medal Bar
(Bandschnalle). A Third Reich period medal bar featuring four decorations, including a 1939 Iron Cross, II Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1939 2. Klasse). A cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border, with the period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date 1939 in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse with the original institution date 1813 in raised numbering on the lower arm, measuring 44.68 mm (w) x 50.21 mm (h), and in overall very fine condition. A Luftwaffe 4-Year Long Service Medal (Luftwaffe Dienstauszeichnung IV. Klasse für 4 Dienstjahre). A round silvered metal (non-magnetic) medal, the obverse with the German eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces), the reverse with the raised number 4 centrally within an oak wreath border; measuring 30.68 mm in diameter, with a miniature Luftwaffe eagle, and in overall very fine condition. A Sudetenland Medal (Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938). A die-struck, finished in bronze, round medal, the obverse presents a man standing on a podium with the Third Reich coat of arms, holding a flag, with a second man helping him get on the podium, who has a broken shackle on his right hand, to symbolize the joining of Austria, on the reverse is the inscription 1. OKTOBER 1938, surrounded by EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER (ONE PEOPLE, ONE EMPIRE, ONE LEADER), measuring 32.11 mm in diameter, with a Prague Castle bar attached to the ribbon, the bar features the castle on the obverse with two triangular prongs for attachment, and in extremely fine condition. A Bulgaria Military Merit Order , V Class (Орден за Военна Заслуга). An Urdy cross constructed of silver gilt, with crimson-enamelled arms, crossed swords between the arms, the obverse presents a red medallion bearing the cypher of the founder, circumscribed by a ring of green enamel bearing the Order’s name, the reverse centre presents a red medallion bearing a Bulgarian lion rampant with a faceted shield with Saxon coat of arms, circumscribed by a ring of green-enamelled bearing the institution date 1891, measuring 50.08 mm (w) x 52.59 mm (h), displays no chipping to enamels, and in better than extremely fine condition. All affixed to appropriate ribbons on a 122 mm long metal bar, with a dark grey wool baker, with a horizontal pinback.
