What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

HAMILTON, BOY. 1., R.N.); British War Medal (J.33875 R.J. HAMILTON. A.B. R.N.); Victory Medal (J.33875 R.J. HAMILTON. A.B. R.N.); 1939-1945 Star; Defence Medal; and War Medal 1939-1945. Naming is privately engraved on the BEM, officially impressed on the First World War trio, the Second World War medals are un-named. Un-mounted, the First World War trio are plated, cleaned, very fine. Accompanied by a copy of the Supplement to the London Gazette 36033 of Friday, May 28, 1943, on Wednesday, June 2, 1943, page 2438 (confirming his awarding of the British Empire Medal).    Footnote: Robert John Hamilton joined the Royal Navy for service in the First World War. He advanced to the rank of Boy Seaman 1st Class and later, to Able Seaman by the end of the war. For his First World War service, he was awarded the trio. He also served in the Second World War with the Royal Navy, in the rank of Chief Petty Officer and awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence Medal and the War Medal 1939-1945. During the war, he was awarded the British Empire Medal, on the occasion of the Celebration of His Majesty's Birthday, for Meritorious Service, as mentioned in the Supplement to the London Gazette 36033 of Friday, May 28, 1943, on Wednesday, June 2, 1943, page 2438.
