An October 1940 RAF Battle of Britain Booklet; Entitled "THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN AUGUST-OCTOBER 1940" with the Royal Air Force insignia, subtitled "An Air Ministry account of the Great Days from 8th August - 31st October 1940." Published by His Majesty's Stationery Office in London, issued by the Ministry of Information on behalf of the Air Ministry and published in 1941, the booklet describes the air battle fought in the skies over Britain against Germany in the Second World War. Cover is printed in dark blue ink on a thick sky blue cover stock, with thirty-two pages of text printed in black ink, name of the previous owner in black ink in the upper right corner on the front cover, 137 mm x 212 mm, dual staple-bound, vertical fold mark, lightly soiled. Accompanied by a Postcard Album promoting the movie "Battle Of Britain" (released in 1969), printed and published by A. Arthur Dixon Ltd, Forest Side, Newport, Isle of Wight & Inverness, Scotland, thirty-two pages of text and line illustrations printed in alternating red and black inks on a gray paper stock, cover printed in four-colour inks on a white card stock, 176 mm x 226 mm, dual staple-bound, along with six loose 105 mm x 149 mm colour postcards, with actors Susannah York, Trevor Howard, Robert Shaw, Sir Laurence Olivier and Patrick Wymark illustrated in their various roles and a view of the Operations Room of a Fighter Command. Extremely fine.
