A 1914 Coldstream Guards Medal Group to Regimental Sergeant Major - 1914 Star, 1 Clasp - 5th AUG.-22nd NOV. 1914 (8701 L. Cpl C. LLOYD. C. GDS:); British War Medal (8701 SJT. C. LLOYD. C. GDS.); Victory Medal (8701 SJT. C. LLOYD. C. GDS.); Canadian Volunteer Service Medal; War Medal 1939-1945; and Efficiency Medal with Canada Scroll (R.S.M. (W.O. CL 1) C. LLYD 15 H.). Naming is officially impressed on the First World War trio and on the EM, the Second World War medals are un-named, his name spelled incorrectly on the EM (LLYD). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, very dark patinas on the silver medals, original ribbons, clasp is missing its threading on the left side along with residue evident in the recessed areas from cleaning on the Star, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine. Footnote: Sergeant C. Lloyd served with the Coldstream Guards during the First World War. He later immigrated to Canada and served with the Canadian Forces in the home theatre during the Second World War.
