What's a max bid?

An Efficiency Group to Lt. Col. Harris; SS Princess Alice Survivor - British War Medal (LT. COL. J.H. HARRIS.); Territorial Force War Medal (MAJOR J.H. HARRIS. R.A.M.C.); and Territorial Decoration, George V, hallmarked with the British lion, a leopard's head (made in London), date marked "r" (1912) and maker marked "SG" (Sebastian Garrard) on the reverse. Naming is officially impressed on the First World War Medals, the TD is un-named. Un-mounted, dark patina and original ribbon with hanger on the TD, edge nicks on the TFWM, extremely fine. Footnote: John Henry Harris was born in 1861 and qualified as a doctor at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in 1883. As a student, he was on board the River Thames Steamship Princess Alice along with nearly 900 passengers and crew, on September 3, 1878, when the ship collided with the Collier Bywell Castle off Tripcock Point, with 640 people losing their lives, the greatest loss of life in any Thames shipping disaster. Harris served in India during the First World War as a Territorial Army doctor with Royal Army Medical Corps. After the war, he returned to his practice at Dartmouth and continued to practice until he was over 70 years old. Harris died in 1939.
