A medal bar, swing mounted, measuring 84mm in length, with four decorations:

1. 1914-15 Star, in bronze gilt, reverse impressed 225424, F. PHILPOTT, S.P.O., R.N., worn on original ribbon, light wear, in very fine condition.

2. British War Medal, in silver, rim impressed 225424 F. PHILPOTT. S.P.O. R.N., worn on original ribbon, notable edge knocks and scattered wear, in very fine condition.

3. First War Victory Medal, in bronze gilt, rim impressed 225424 F. PHILPOTT. S.P.O. R.N., worn on original ribbon, worn on obverse, remains in very fine condition.

4. Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, in silver, 225424 F. PHILPOTT, MECHN. H.M.S CARNARVON., worn on original ribbon, dark patina on the exterior edge, in very fine condition.

 

Footnote: Frederick Philpott was born February 24, 1882 in Devonport. He enlisted for 12 years on April 16, 1904. He first served as a painter aboard the Vivid II. His last service date was February 23, 1926.
