Court-mounted, original ribbons, extremely fine. Accompanied by an Air Mail Xmas Greetings Letter (in handwritten black ink, on air mail stock, addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Francis & Family, 263 South St., Openshaw, Manchester, Lancs, England", inside spread illustrating a ship parting the waves with a map of the Mediterranean area in the background, printed inscription "So far and yet so near in our hearts as we wish you Merry Christmas, Greetings from the Middle East", signed "Jack", stamped "PASSED BY CENSOR 524", with mailing stamp, 120 mm x 206 mm); two Air Mail Letters (in handwritten black ink, on air mail stock, one addressed to "Mr. E. Francis", the other to "Mrs. E. Francis", both of "263 South St., Openshaw, Manchester, Lancs, England", both stamped "PASSED CENSOR 735" and signed "Jack", the latter one missing its postage stamp, 176 mm x 245 mm and 237 mm x 188 mm respectively); a Three Page Letter (in handwritten black ink, on an off-white ruled stock, addressed to "Sgt Jones P2X 1251, 44 RM C.D.O / A.P.O. 5500.", signed "Love Ron & John", 110 mm x 175 mm each); a Kraft Mailing Envelope (in handwritten black ink, addressed to "Mrs. R. Mitchell, 29 Philip Rd., Folkestone", signed "J. Jones", stamped, sticker on the left side inscribed "P.C. 90 / OPENED BY EXAMINER 5680 / S. & Co. 51-1524", 102 mm x 151 mm); and six Black and White Photographs (1. group of forty-three men and officers in four rows, inscribed "342 SQUAD EXTON APRIL 1942" in pencil on the reverse, matte finish, 83 mm x 135 mm; 2. group of eight men posing with a truck in Holland, a Chevrolet insignia on the grill, inscribed "VOLCANO II" above the windshield, "R.N." on the passenger's window, a downward-pointing bomb painted on the hood, inscribed "HOLLAND APRIL 1945" with the names of the eight present in the photo in black ink on the reverse, with Jones fourth from the left, matte finish, 84 mm x 135 mm; 3. three men standing on the deck of the HMNZS Achilles, inscribed in black ink "Yokohama, Japan, 1945 / Taken on Board H.M.N.Z.S.
