Instituted in 1854. George VI, INDIAE IMP (1937-1947). In silver, un-named, measuring 36.2 mm in diameter, contact marks, original ribbon with pinback, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Distinguished Conduct Medal was instituted on December 4, 1854 and was discontinued in 1993, replaced by the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross. It was awarded to other ranks for acts of gallantry in action, the recipient entitled to use the post-nominal letters "DCM".
