What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A Large British WWII Regimental Sergeant Major's Badge - Khaki and olive green embroidery throughout, brown embroidery representing a cord that outlines the garter then continues around the unicorn and terminates as an outline to the ribbon banner, black wool forming the base behind the inscription "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" (French for "Shame on Him Who Thinks this Evil") of the garter surrounding the shield, the shield in the centre incorporating red, yellow and blue embroidered backgrounds behind their khaki insignias, with white thread highlights in the Irish harp, all symbolizing the Order of the Garter, maroon wool forming the base behind the Royal motto "DIEU ET MON DROIT" (French for "God is My Right") of the ribbon banner, the five petals of the Tudor rose above the banner and the inside of the George VI crown above the shield, black beads representing the eyes in both the lion and the unicorn, silver beaded wire outlining the mouth of the lion, red embroidered highlights in both the lion's mouth and the tongue of the unicorn, three long stands of black threading representing the whiskers of the lion, the various insignias are padded and raised, giving them a three-dimensional look, on all an olive green-khaki wool base, white cotton mesh backer, 128 mm x 142 mm, slight fabric separation at the bottom of the ribbon banner where it butts the brown embroidered cord, clear glue residue on the reverse from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.
