What's a max bid?

An example of a extremely well preserved and untouched example of a 1939 manufacture Brodie Mark I steel helmet by Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd. The helmet consists of a non-magnetic shell in the traditional “soup plate” form. The interior and exterior of the helmet is painted in a dark grey colour, featuring an original black leather liner on the interior, with five black leather panels interconnected via a black drawstring, with a leather lined foam “stopper” in the form of a cross in the centre to prevent the head from making contact with the interior of the helmet. Original bolt, replacement nut. It is marked “BMB” for “Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd”, “I” for “Mark I”, and is dated “1939” on the interior, with further (incomplete) stamping on the underside of the rim. The strap is consists of two drawstrings within a canvas tube attached to either side of the helmet, with a canvas strap and metal hardware. The interior measures 96 mm x 82 mm, measuring 306 mm x 286 mm overall. It is extremely well preserved helmet, with light wear from period use, in overall extremely fine condition. (C:205)
