Great Britain; Copper from the hull of H.M.S Victory, obverse inscribed "I NELSON COPPER D.G" ("Dei gratia", Latin for "By the Grace of God") in the centre, "BRITISH & FOREIGN" on the left arm, "SAILORS SOCIETY" on the right arm, the battles of "TRAFALGAR 1805" on the upper arm and "WATERLOO 1815" on the bottom arm, reverse inscribed "DUTY 1915 HONOUR" in the centre, "RUSSIA A.C" with an anchor on the left arm, "BELGIUM A.N.Z." (Belgium, Australia, New Zealand) on the right arm, "BRITAIN E.R.VII" (King Edward VII who took a great interest in the Society and "The Nelson Centenary Memorial Fund", allowing his initials to be used on their souvenirs) on the upper arm and "I.CH.29.II FRANCE" (Biblical Passage: either Isaiah, Chapter 29, Verse 2 or 1 Chronicles, Chapter 29, Verse 11), 29.2 mm (w) x 33.7 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, scattered greening evident, near extremely fine.
