Great Britain. A Royal Army Medical Corps Side Cap
Fabricated from a maroon wool with fold down flaps in navy blue wool on either side, the flaps held up with black metal hooks fed through red threaded loops, with two rising peaks forming a valley between the two panels, the front with two 12 mm wide brass buttons, each of the buttons bearing a General Service coat-of-arms and holding the two ends of the flaps together, a 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h) bronze gilt Royal Army Medical Corps Cap Badge on the left side, the cap badge held in place via intact lugs and pin on the underside. The inside is lined in a black rayon, with a 23 mm wide black cotton sweatband, the cap measuring 290 mm (w) x 120 mm (h) and free of mothing. Near mint.
