What's a max bid?

WWII Royal Fusiliers Officer's Peaked Cap

WWII Royal Fusiliers Officer's Peaked Cap - This dress cap is fabricated from a khaki twill, featuring the classic high peak and rounded saddle-shaped sides. Two brown leather straps with loops creating the chin strap, of adjustable length resting upon the visor, slotted at the ends, secured on both sides by original bronze buttons with the Royal Fusiliers insignia. The front has a bronze Royal Fusiliers cap badge affixed by dual prongs. Large flat visor incorporating a thick stiffener, both sides of the visor covered with the same khaki twill as the exterior of the cap. Inside, the cap has a 44 mm wide butterscotch leather sweatband, the two ends sewn together at the rear, fully lined in a bluish-green rayon, the dome with a celluloid moisture shield. It measures 240 mm x 285 mm x 110 mm overall. Although the leather sweatband exhibits light wear, with cracking in the celluloid shield and soiling on the dome lining under the shield, the leather in the both the chin strap and sweatband remains supple, while the exterior fabric is clean and continues to exhibit flawless, quality workmanship, maintaining its original period look, near extremely fine.
